Laercio Pellegrino Filho

Education

Graduated in Law from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Master of Laws (LL.M.) – Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C., U.S.A. – 1994. Attended the MBA in Finance – Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (“IBMEC”), Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Brazil – 2007.

Laercio Pellegrino Filho works in the corporate area, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions involving both closely-held and publicly-held companies.

Laercio has worked extensively in the reorganization of recently privatized utility companies, especially mobile telephony, electric power and gas distribution. Laercio also worked on the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline project and other high-profile infrastructure projects.

Laercio has gained extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he worked on the acquisition of two large Brazilian laboratories and the breakup of an international joint venture by one of the large multinational laboratories. Laercio also works in the real estate industry by drafting shareholders’ agreements and other documents related to joint ventures in the real estate sector.
